The Dying Flame

The Dying Flame

The flame, which once gave light and warmth, was just about to die

The bright and shiny fire was waving her good bye.

The oil and wick that kept her going, were leaving her behind

The moments that ignited her passion were just crossing her mind.

Would I end this way, leaving everyone in dark?

Alternatively, would there be something that will bring back my spark?

Should I have hope, or just give up?

Would I have enough strength to live up?

Questions were many whose answers were not yet found

However, we all know that life certainly is time bound.

Though the time might have come to let go all desire

Still my flicker seems to have enough fire

A fire enough to ignite another wick with fire of passion

Which will have its own shine to light up in its own fashion.

So, the slightest light that is left within

Will help some to let their glow begin.
